As we present our Victoria Classics issue French Cottage for 2022, we are pleased to introduce readers to another bevy of bucolic dwellings brimming with Gallic charm, from a retreat for two in Nouvelle Aquitaine to a cozy country hideaway in the Périgord Blanc region. We also step into a nineteenth-century Burgundian castle, a restored circa 1240 merchant house, an ancient winery finding new life as a bed-and-breakfast, and a refreshed farmhouse and a stone-and-plaster cottage, both in the sunny South of France.
